Rockin'

These girls love to dance! They inherited (or learned) from LJ a love for loud music with a good beat (he used to install car stereos). They jam with Dad on a weekly basis, at least. Addie will start dancing to a song on a commercial if it has a good beat. Here's a peak.

Easter Fun

The Easter Bunny came to our house on Saturday this year because I had to work on Sunday. Luckily the girls are small enough that they didn't know the difference. :) The Easter Bunny hid their baskets, and they had fun finding them. Of all of the fun things in them, the biggest hit with all of them was the $.50 suckers. I'll have to remember that for next year. :)

Then we went to an Easter egg hunt in our neighborhood. The girls were kind of timid with so many kids there, but still had a great time.

I know this probably puts me in the Bad Mom Category, but I did not color Easter eggs with the kids this year. I hard boiled them, then backed out. Addie is Sister Destructo, Macie would try to grab the bowls of colored water and put them in her mouth - and now that I think of it, Addie probably would too. I felt pretty guilty until this morning. I was eating one of those hard boiled eggs and had the salt shaker out to put some salt on it. I went upstairs for maybe two minutes to get Macie out of her crib and change her diaper, and Addie had dumped the entire (full) salt shaker onto the table, floor, and laptop. My guilt was washed away. Definately don't want to take my chances with various bowls of brightly colored liquid dye. Maybe next year, girls. :) But we had a fun Easter anyway.

Catch Up

Oh my goodness, I have been such a bad blogger lately. Just wanted to do a little catch up. First of all, Granster was here for his spring break a couple of weeks ago. He is such a good kid. We had grand plans to go to Capitol Reef for a few days. Unfortunately, Grant threw up all week and it was really cold. So we stayed home, watched movies, played video games, snuggled, and read. Even though things didn't go as planned, it was nice just to have Grant here. The day before he flew out, he lost both of his front teeth.

Macie has had a big week. She cut her first two teeth...

(Not being incredibly cooperative for photos.)
learned how to crawl, holds her own bottle now, and best of all...
Had her first Oreo!

(I promise this mess mess was made with only one Oreo. How, you ask? It's a Macie Mess. She has it perfected.)
And we've been working working on re-doing the bathrooms as well. Hopefully more on that in a couple days when the first one is done.
Addie helping out.
And here's to better blogging! :)
