Christmas Stuff

We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! This was our Christmas card. They are printed, adressed, and sealed sitting on my desk. All they need is a stamp. Somehow, I still couldn't get them out. I suck. And I didn't get around to neighbor treats either. So I've come up with a new plan. I think that from now on I'm going to do Valentine's cards and neighbor treats. It's not so crazy that time of year, so it will be easier for me, and a nice surprise (or not anymore) to those receiving them because they won't be expected. What do you think?

Here's some pictures of our Christmas, in no particular order:

Ellie and Addie in their new robes Christmas night after baths. These were a hit - in fact I have a hard time convincing them to change out of them and they want to wear them as pajamas to bed.

Macie in her new Bumbo chair. She loves it!

Macie just chillin' while we opened presents.

On their new princess chair.

This baby with a bottle was the first present Addie opened. We could not convince her to open any more. She was perfectly happy sitting on Grandma Reader's lap for an hour and a half feeding her baby (why did we buy her so many other toys?) while Ellie opened her presents.

LJ has officially reached housewife status. We both got cute aprons from some friends (thanks Judd and Kei - we love them!) and some new pans (among other GUY things).

Ellie LOVES anything Little Einstein and Princess. This was a present from Grandma Boots and Grandpa Nemo during our Christmas Eve party with my family.

But most of all, it was just to great to be with family. We got to be with my family most of the day Christmas Eve (missed you Erik and Allison!) and with LJ's family on Christmas. It was great, just letting the kids play, relaxing, eating good food, playing fun games, and remembering The Reason for the Season.

The Good, The Bad, and The...Cute

The Good - I think Macie is going to have curly hair like Ellie!

The Bad- Check out the HUGE bald spot! My other kids didn't get bald spots nearly this big!

And the Cute - well, I think the picture speaks for itself.

For the Family

I was doing some organizing today, and came upon these pictures. They are my wonderful, sweet grandparents. They both passed away several years ago. Seeing these photos brought a smile to my face and tears to my eyes. I love them so much, and have such great memories of them. I just wanted to share, mostly for my family (cousins) - thought you would enjoy them. These were taken during our family Christmas party.

Family Photos

Here are some shots of our family photos, taken by the same friend that did Macie's photos. Blogger's not playing nice, so I had to upload them as seperate posts. I sure love my cute family!

Sweet Macie

A friend in the ward just started a part time photography business and I had her do a session with Macie. These are some of my favorites.

Stay tuned for family photos next!

Addie Cake

This little girl cracks us up all day long. The other day, this was the outfit she HAD to wear, all day long. She absolutely refused to let us take anything off (those are Ellie's panties and snow boots, by the way).

Addie is SO funny. While Ellie is sweet and easy-going, Addie is funny and opinionated. She is extremely determined, has an opinion about EVERYTHING, and it's her way or the highway. About 80% of the time we are laughing at the funny things she does, and 20% of the time we are banging our heads against the wall in frustration because she's so hard headed. Right now she loves food (whatever you got, she'll eat), her pink silky pillowcase, binkies, and snuggling (which wasn't always the case). She also loves Macie and her dolls. She was born to be a mommy. Even at 15 months old when we brought Macie home from the hospital, she was so attentive and loving to her. And now three months later, it hasn't worn off. She has 2 nicknames. Addie Cake came from me calling her Addie Cate (her middle name), and Ellie thought I was saying Addie Cake. She started calling her that, and it stuck. The other name we've been calling her is Huggy, which stems from the monkey on WordGirl (a cartoon on PBS), whose name is Captain Huggy Face. LJ gave her this one - he thought it fit because she climbs on everything, she's wears her pillowcase like a cape most of the time, (Captain Huggy Face has a cape), she's been know to throw her poop like a monkey (after taking her diaper off in her crib when we think she's taking a nap), and she's been so cuddly lately. We love this girl!
