This morning was round 2 of surgery for LJ's broken leg. His leg just wasn't healing. They took out all of the old hardware and put in bigger stuff. They filled in the breaks with bone paste.
right before surgery (isn't he cute in a bouffant cap?)
The big decision of the day was which color cast to get. It was a hard decision between BYU blue (21 hours until kick off - GO COUGARS!) or camo. But LJ insists he's going hunting no matter what, so camo it was. They came out half way through the surgery to give me an update, and I asked them if they would do pink, but they didn't. LJ's sure happy about that. :)
And that funky little thing is a bone stimulator. It sends impulses to the bone and is supposed to help it heal better. LJ needs all the help he can get! But so far so good. We'll see how he's doing tomorrow when the nerve block wears off...

I love the camo--of course, it's needed for hunting but we like it for the army aspect of it all too.:) Good luck with the second surgery recovery--hopefully it'll will go better than the last one.
I like the power of positive thinking...get a camo cast so you can go hunting.....sure.
Good Luck, and speedy recovery
