Huggy Pages

Seriously, nothing much to post about - so here are some Addie pages (still by Mom). I can't believe how sweet she used to be. Okay, she's still sweet sometimes. . .

Digi Scrapbooking

I wish I could say these pages are my creations. But they aren't. My mom made these! She has become a great digital scrapbooker. Last time she was here she brought her external hard drive and loaded her pages on my computer and loaded some of my pages on her hard drive - so she can make more cute pages of my kids! Because I can only load 5 pics at a time (does anyone know how to do more? that is one of my biggest blogging frustrations), I thought I would break them into kids. So here is Grant. . .

Funny Stuff

So there hasn't really been anything picture worthy to post about lately - I'm just working and LJ's taking care of kids (and a dog for a few days). However, it feels REALLY good to be working. The hospitals have been slow over the holidays - which means fewer shifts for me. Finally things have been back to normal, and it feels good to be able to provide for my family. At times I have complained about working so much, but lately, with the state of the economy, I'm just thankful to have a job and to be working. Anyways. . .

Here is a funny story LJ related to me today (and he even wrote it down - he's awesome).

Ellie asked if she could go to her friend Shelby's house (our backyards touch, so she just has to go out the back door about 50 feet to get to her back door). LJ told her no, they were going to the store soon. He went upstairs to do something, heard the back door close, and knew that Ellie had gone to Shelby's. He went over to get her. As soon as they got home, he made her sit on her bed for disobeying. She cried for a while, and he finally let her come out. He offered her a cookie and said, "Will this make you feel better?" Ellie replied, "I miss Danica and that's why I want a cookie!" She took the cookie, looked it over, and and said, "This cookie says that I can't go to Shelby's."

She cracks us up!

Tonight I was upstairs and heard lots of thuds. Immediately Ellie started crying. She had fallen down the stairs. I asked her, "Ellie, did you fall down all of the stairs, or just a few?" She replies, through her tears, "I didn't fall down all of them because I bounced over one."

A few minutes later I asked Ellie to get some pajamas out to get ready for bed. Addie ran over to Ellie's pajama drawer, grabbed some of her jammies, and told us in no uncertains terms - by Addie language - that those were the jammies that Ellie would wear. Ellie didn't really want to wear those ones, but being the sweet thing that she is said, "I will wear them so Addie won't be mad at me." At 1 1/2 Addie is not only INSISTING on which clothes she will wear (today it was her coat all day) but apparently what other people in the family will wear as well.
Wish us luck.
